REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: 2026 Winter Sand Bids

Notice is hereby given that the Minot Highway Department will be accepting sealed bids for four thousand-two hundred (4,200) yardsof half inch minus screened sand for the 2026-27 winter season. Bid preference is for the sand to be delivered to the Minot Highway Garage at 329 Woodman Hill Road in Minot, Maine, but pit pricing is allowed.

Bids are to be received by no later than 4:00 PM on Monday, August 31, 2026. Bids received after that time will not be considered. For a bid form see www.minotme.org or call 207-345-3305 x 201. Bids will be opened and reviewed at the meeting of the Board of Selectmen on Monday, August 31, 2026 at 6:30 PM in the Town Office Conference Room.

After consideration of all bids, a decision will be made within 7 days. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder meeting requirements unless the municipal officers exercise their right to amend or reject any and/or all bids.
