Annual Budget Information
As of the 2018 Town Meeting, the Town of Minot runs on a calendar fiscal year (Jan-Dec).
The budget process for the following year begins in the fall of the current year. The Town Administration works under the guidance of the Board of Selectmen to develop a budget that meets their goals and direction. This budget is then reviewed along with the Budget Committee to prepare a recommendation to be included in the Town Warrant that will be considered at Town Meeting.
All budget development meetings and information related to the budget are public information, and anyone is welcome to attend. The Annual Town Warrant is part of the Annual Report and is scheduled to be available within the first weeks of February before the Annual Town Meeting, where the budget is voted on and adopted, is held the first Saturday in March in the Minot Consolidated School gym.
