The Town of Minot Board of Appeals is a quasi-judicial body established pursuant to state law and the Town’s Land Use Code. The Board is responsible for hearing and deciding appeals of administrative decisions, enforcement actions, and other matters as authorized by ordinance and Maine law. Acting in an impartial and independent capacity, the Board of Appeals ensures that land use regulations are applied fairly, consistently, and in accordance with due process.
The Board conducts public hearings, reviews the factual and legal record, and renders written decisions based on the applicable standards set forth in the Land Use Code and state statute. Through its work, the Board of Appeals provides an essential safeguard for property owners and the public by offering a formal mechanism to review and resolve disputes related to land use administration.
